Picture of the week: Torres del Paine

At the end of my semester abroad in Chile, I spent a week in what is one of most visited national parks in South America, Parque Nacional Torres del Paine.  The most popular hike in the park is a 5 day trek, known as the ‘W’.  On the second day of the trek, we hiked up to a lookout point to see the sandstone pillars known as the Torres del Paine.  Despite the haze surrounding them, they were quite an impressive sight.

    • Thanks! It was one of my favorite places in Chile. I think it’s actually one of the most popular stops for people traveling in Patagonia, but it doesn’t seem to get as much attention as a lot of other places.
